Case study
Problem
Problem
The founder validated demand through landing-page signups but had nothing to demo. Investors wanted auth, payments, and a core workflow. Wireframes were not enough.
Solution
Solution
We scoped one loop: sign up, create projects, assign tasks, subscribe via Stripe. One integration, one core journey, two weeks with twice-weekly Loom updates so the founder could test mid-build.
Implementation
Implementation
- Next.js app with email and Google auth
- PostgreSQL schema for projects, tasks, and subscriptions
- Stripe Checkout for a single paid tier
- Dashboard with project list and task board
- Deployed on Vercel with env templates for handover

Outcome
The founder demoed a working product to three investors within two weeks of kickoff. Two requested follow-up calls. One led to a pre-seed SAFE.
Engineering insight
Engineering insight
If you are raising pre-seed, investors want proof you ship. A tight MVP with real payments beats a polished Figma file. You do not need every feature on day one.
